acoustic blues with roberto hall and marshall stokes

living in eureka, california, Going to Austin is a two-man blues band fueled by hard times and lots of booze. the blues is real, the recordings are amatuer, and most of their work is original improv. download and listen to the mp3s for a taste of their raw sound.

Marshall Stokes is a developer and network administrator for Sprux LLC in Eureka, California, and spends most of his free time playing guitar and traveling around the west coast.

Roberto Hall is an artist/musician from the Portland area, but currently resides in northern Idaho. His passion and emotion comes out clear in his vacal and harmonica work, and he thrives on art and music, frequently jamming with others at open mics throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Unfortunately, Stokes and Hall currently live in different states and are unable to practice regularly enough to produce a CD or stay prepared for live shows. However, they assure you that some day, somewhere, they will live close enough to each other to bring back the Going to Austin sound and record a CD and start booking shows. In the meantime, check out our older mp3s and feel free to contact us.
